Biography
Wise Intentions is an Acoustic/Rock band of three brothers who are passionate about
music, rehearse every night and are pursuing the career of working professionally in the
music industry. Based around the South-West of the UK, they have plenty of experience
writing and performing; and continue to work hard in order to better themselves. They
have a fresh, youthful outlook on what they do; giving them a unique energy and
commitment which they use to express themselves as people and as musicians.
Forming at a young age in late 2007, Wise Intentions began covering bands such as
Green Day and Linkin Park to experience first-hand what it is to perform as a group.
However whilst learning songs from other bands, they also began writing their own
material; and soon incorporated this into their musical spectrum. Performing live for
the first time in Easter ’08 at a 4-day music camp, the band played their very first song
‘Sky’s Gone Black,’ and were asked to represent Rock School at ‘The Main Event'. This
lead them to perform at a charity event a few weeks after, playing a selection of their
own songs. Wise Intentions began to make a name for themselves in the world of music,
and continued to practice hard to get the results they were after.
When Wise Intentions entered the UK Songwriting Contest in 2008, 3 of the 4 songs
entered in the adult contemporary category made it to Semi-Finalist positions; placing
in the top 15% of over 6200 entrants from around the world. "The UK Song Writing
Contest is held annually in association with the BRIT trust, The British Academy of
Composers and Songwriters, The Guild of International Songwriters and Composers,
BBC Radio, The World Music Foundation, Music Aid UK and other music industry bodies".
In 2009, Wise Intentions continued to perform to the public; playing a mixture of
covers and their own material throughout various areas of the South-West. In ’09 Wise
Intentions played at The World Stinging Nettle Championships to an audience from
around the globe, recorded 6 demo tracks in the studio, launched their official website
and were featured in the press for achieving finalist position in ‘Ships Got Talent’ of
which there were over 200 entrants.
In 2010, Along with playing at many venues on request, Wise Intentions released their
first album ‘Sky’s Gone Black’ on iTunes and Amazon, giving the public the opportunity
to hear recordings of their early songs for the first time. In the past, the band have
supported various charities such as ‘Mercy Ships’ and ‘Help For Heroes,’ and in 2010
released the single ‘To Help Them’ on iTunes and Amazon; and all profits received by the band will be donated to the
‘ShelterBox’ charity. The profit money given will help in assisting the organisation in
saving the lives of those affected by man-made and natural disasters.
To date Wise Intentions has collectively written over 100 songs and continue to perform
at many venues including pubs, festivals, birthday parties or other special events; in the
long run aiming to be successful and accomplished musicians in the industry.
